Do you have an idea for a show?
A rule of thumb for a good idea is that it should be easy to communicate in a few tight sentences. We get hundreds of ideas every year from talented people. Some times we get ideas for shows that have already been produced in another country, ideas that have already been canned or that are already in the works. If that’s the case, we try to communicate that as quickly as possible. Simply put, for a fruitful collaboration, trust, confidence and communication is crucial. Those are the working conditions we in the industry have to live by.
Given the large number of ideas that flow through our office every month, we need a short description of your idea. Half a standard-size page, describing your idea, is all that is needed in order for us to be able to give adequate feedback. Keep in mind to point out what is unique with your idea. If your idea gets traction with us, we will find a time to meet in order to find ways to move forward.
In sum:
We need one, short and punchy sentence that describes your idea.
1. Try to define what it is with your idea that makes the project unique.
2. Enclose a short description of a sample show, about half a standard-page long.
